is a spectacular Victorian mansion that was constructed in the mid-19th century and is a short drive away from Killarney Town Centre. The house was designed in the Tudor style by the renowned Scottish architect, William Burn. This house was built for Henry Arthur Herbert and his wife, the watercolourist, Mary Balfour Herbert, it has been famous for the visit of Queen Victoria in 1861 and represents the focal point and nucleus of Ireland’s oldest national park, Killarney National Park.
